From the time I could pick up a pencil I have been drawing or painting. My family is the most important thing to me but being able to paint, to create, is vital to me.  It is what makes me who I am.

I am largely self-taught, although I majored in art in college and have continued to study with such artists as Ben Konis in New Mexico, and with Cholla and Polly Hammett in Texas. Over the past 15 years I have entered many juried art shows and have won numerous awards, including first places and best of shows.

After experimenting many years with pen and ink, pastels and oils, I realized that watercolors are my passion and I am currently working with watercolors exclusively. With watercolors I am able to achieve both the detail of an oil painting and the luminous quality that originally drew me to watercolors. I specialized in outdoor scenes, landscapes, buildings, and commissioned paintings.

Additionally, I have been represented by several galleries in Texas and my art is displayed in private collections in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, Florida, Massachusetts and Texas.

I am currently a member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society. I was accepted into the New Mexico Watercolor Society’s Spring 2004 show, the prestigious 2004 Masterworks show and the New Mexico Watercolor Society’s Fall 2004 show.
